Do You Have What it Takes?

Out of every 100 people who begin some type of online marketing, 95 lose money and wind up quitting. Out of the other 5, 3 make a fairly decent living... and 2 actually become wealthy.

So, out of 100 people, only 5 really understand what it takes to make it happen on the internet. Do you? Many folks that tend to have a good understanding of what it takes be successful through ventures outside the internet, seem to forget it all when it comes to creating a business online. Suddenly they become mesmerized by the idea that sitting down at their computer, and going online negates everything that's always been true about building a successful business of any kind. They get caught up in the dotcom millionaire HYPE that is everywhere. These same folks would never even consider buying into it through JUNK Snail mail or off of TV, but get sucked in when they hit the Internet. All of a sudden, plugging in to the internet means everything is free, you won't have to work, your business can be on auto-pilot, while all the time dollars just magically fill your bank accounts. No Ebusiness can be "Free" if you treat it like a real business. You have a big investment in your computer, software to run your business, products and services you can't be without and one very large investment in time and work. One thing IS true. Developing an internet Ebusiness can be very rewarding, and contains lots of possibilities that non-line businesses don't, simply because the world is your market. That, in itself, opens a business up to a high level of opportunity for success. Another fact: start-up costs for an Ebusiness are relatively small, when you compare the costs of establishing a business on the street. Plus, the tools and resources you need are right there at your fingertips! It's awesome! But, aside from that, being successful online is going to take the same investment you would expect to put into building any successful business.
Here are the basics: 1) Education.  Yes, you'll need to invest yourself in learning. You'll need to know everything there is to know about your product and what it's going to take to market it to the masses. Automation? Don't get your hopes up. You'll have to MAKE IT HAPPEN! 2) Time.  The average person knows that a 40 hour work week is the accepted norm, when it comes to making a living. Well, guess what? Nothing is different here. In fact, you could possibly put in MORE than 40 hours in this business. And initially, those hours may be income-free, if you get my drift. Hard work and dedication WILL pay off in the long-run, though. 3) Money.  No business can be successful without access to the quality tools necessary to put out a top-of-the-line service or product. Oh yes, there are MILLIONS of "FREE" tools and resources available on the internet. And many of them can, and will, serve a valuable purpose in your business. But you CANNOT BUILD a business on them! Most of these free tools are allowing other folks to build their businesses off of YOU!!! Pick and choose the ones that will enhance your business. But make sure that the foundational tools you use, that are necessary for building an Ebusiness, are quality tools, designed to allow you to produce a quality product or service. No doubt, the reason you have a desire to build an Ebusiness is to make money. And just like the non-line world, the real money-makers are the "professionals". Look at your own community. 95% of folks making the best livings are the ones that have done what it takes to become a professional. You have to do that, also. You have to do what it takes get the training and the tools. Of course, all the ads are telling you a different story. And, of course, those ads are designed to get an emotional response, and.... YOUR money!!! Don't fall for it!!!! A successful Ebusiness owner lays the necessary foundation to keep his business growing for years come. Forget the quick buck. Make the necessary investments in education, time, and tools, and you'll be looking at a lot more than that! Remember one important thing, a lot of people will take your money and give little in return. A few will give you a lot in return for your loyalty and trust down the road. You wouldn't buy a car without test driving it or a home without looking at it. Would it make sense to buy anything if you had no way to talk to the seller? Call Wal-Mart and tell them to send you a lawnmower and you will take whatever they send you, just make sure to send them the money first. But tell them you don't want a guarantee. At least you know how to find one of their stores so you can talk to someone. Millions of dollars are spent every day on the internet at sites with no contact information, no way find out where they are located and no guarantee that they are even really there for any guarantee that they say they give. Just the good old impulse sale. I am not saying that this isn't a good thing - to get a better deal or bonuses for making a decision to do something, because that is the way the real world works. In other words, it's the concept that your money is worth more to us now than it would be a year from now, or if you didn't buy from us at all. That is called generating cash flow and is a very legitimate way to make sales IF in fact it is real We see the cons on TV all the time. The young guy that offers his sales package for a small price and throws in his Internet marketing package if you call 1-800-xxxx or the little guy with all the ? marks on his clothes. Or the HOT Buy Real Estate with no money down and make a fortune. Sure they sell a lot of products and they are the ones getting rich. But at least you can see them, and most will tell you where they are. Yet you think nothing of going to a blind site from a SPAM e-mail with no information on what you are really getting, and drop $50.00 without a thought. Think. Check out the offers. Contact the seller. Make sure they are real and the products have a real value. If they are straight up, they will be happy talk to you and tell you the truth. Ask other people you know that have an internet business. The good guys are around help you. The right tools to invest in are out there and the sellers of these are more than willing to talk to you. So, do you have what it takes to build a successful Ebusiness? You do, if you understand that it is still a real business, and act accordingly. You have to think and act like a real business person, just like you would in an off-line business.
