Many people are looking for someone to hold their hand. It's OK to hold someone's hand from time to time, but ultimately you will not succeed working with someone who does not understand how to work on his or her own.
Although it's contrary to popular thinking, I choose my teammates carefully, as if I was considering hiring them as a manager in my own business. If they have a strong skill set in some area where I am lacking, it will most likely be a good union.
Since you can only teach what you already know, you want teammates who bring something of their own to the table.
