How Not To Get Ripped Off On-Line This is a subject in which I have had a LOT of experience. I've been ripped off by some of the very best rip-off artists on-line. Every time I've been ripped off, I could have avoided it just by paying more attention and using common sense. If something sounds too good to be true, you are probably not getting the whole story. I have developed the following simple, common sense rules to evaluate every product, service or opportunity on-line. What Don't They Tell You Control Your Own Leads The $300 Solution EXAMPLE Up-date Your Anti-Virus Protection Use The Correct Url In Your Affiliate Programs Almost all affiliate programs give you a special URL address. Using the URL supplied by your affiliate will usually get you credit for sales. Sending the wrong URL is the most common ways to lose money. The problem is, most of the time the URLs will also work without the affiliate ID. The ID is usually found at the end of your affiliate URL. Leave off your ID and you lose the sales you brought the company. Read The Sales Letter Backwards Don't EVER Buy From Spammers Don't Give Out Your Personal Information If your personal information is required, you can give it via phone or on secure servers without much risk. Even then, someone can hack or break into secure servers. Sometimes the people in charge of security hit secure servers. In short, don't give out any information unless it's in YOUR best interest, if it's required to do something or buy something.
