There is no other way but hard work. Whether you own an ecommerce business or a web design business. The only thing that really matters is hard work. Yes, you have to have an honest moral business but there are literally thousands of different opportunities out there that are legal and moral.

When you sit down and start putting together your marketing plan or your business plan you have to take into account the "work" factor. Now, I know alot of you are thinking "well thats pretty obvious" but if you really think about it it's not. Most people don't really put a whole lot of thought into exactly how many hours a week they can put aside for their business. They don't think about exactly what hours each day they are going to unplug the phone, shut the door and do nothing but work with no distractions.

How about you? Have you sat down with a calendar and figured out for the month of December what hours you are going to devote to your business? Is it 6pm to 10pm on Monday December 6? Or 10am to 4pm on Saturday December 18?

After being on the internet now for a couple of years one of the biggest problems I see with people who start internet businesses is that they don't take it seriously. Because it is not a brick and mortar building alot of people don't take it as seriously as they would if they had their life savings, their kids college fund and every single penny they could borrow from family and friends tied up in this venture.

As soon as you/I/we can give our businesses that kind of priority, that kind of desperate seriousness that is when we will be successful.

Always remember that the only kind of "luck" that really exists is the kind you make yourself. We can be that lucky person that everybody talks about as we walk all the way to the bank.
