Losing Profits To Ineffective Follow-up ? With a web business you probably have customers inquiring about your products or services from around the globe. When you get an inquiry via email or your web-sites you try to rapidly send more information to that hot prospect. By satisfying that person's need for information quickly you can dramatically increase the likely hood of making the sale. Once you deliver the first bit of information to your prospect do you send any further information? Most Internet Markers either don't follow-up or follow-up more than once. When you don't follow-up with additional information valuable customers slip from your grasp. These are customers that may have been very interested in your products but simply lost your information or were to busy when your first information letter was sent. Some customers even purposely wait to see if you find them important enough to follow-up with. When they don't receive a follow-up message they take their business else where. An automatic responder (or autoresponder) is one of the most useful and productive email marketing sytems you can use. An automatic reponder service allows you to create pre-written follow-up messages which are emailed to your mailing list at pre-determined intervals. You can also "broadcast" to your mailing list which allows for easy distribution of your newsletter or special offers. The best feature of an autoresponder service is the ease in which you can add or remove subscribers to your mailing list. Take my free course as an example - when you fill out the form your information is sent to AWeber (the automatic responder service I use) who then send you a confirmation request. You must click on a link within that confirmation to be added to my list. This is called "double opt-in" and ensures that your subscriber really wants to added to your list, his email address is real and you can't be accused of spamming.
